Types of TalkTalk Broadband

At present TalkTalk offers two broadband packages they are:

Fast Broadband: Offers speeds of up to 11Mbps and is great for those who are moderate broadband users. It comes with great add ons - broadband is unlimited and there is no set up fee. Price of £21.50 per month is fixed till 2022.

Superfast Broadband: Offers speeds of up to 67Mbps and is perfect for households where everyone is connected to the internet via one device or another. Price is fixed till 2022 at £26 per month.

Both the fast and superfast broadband packages share some key features, including: no download limit, free calls to other TalkTalk customers, HomeSafe protection (online security) and a free router – the router you get will be dependent on the package you choose. However, superfast broadband comes with a few perks you won’t get with fast broadband, including: Faster connection speeds – up to five times faster in some cases and a super router which TalkTalk claims offers the best broadband coverage of any provider in the UK

Advantages of TalkTalk Broadband

No download limits: Meaning you can surf the web as much as you want and never have to worry about being charged for breaching your usage limit.

Offer bundle deals: This allows you to add a TV and phone service to your TalkTalk broadband deal, which will reduce the cost and hassle of having three separate contracts.

Range of packages: TalkTalk has one of the most extensive ranges of broadband packages so there should be a deal to suit your needs whatever they may be.

Affordability: If you are looking for good internet speed at an affordable price, then have a look and Talktalk's bundles. There is something for everyone.

Disadvantages of TalkTalk Broadband

Speed: While TalkTalk offer fibre broadband with 38Mbps, this simply isn’t as fast as some of the speeds offered by their rivals. BT offer superfast packages with speeds of up to 76Mbps and Virgin offer fibre optic packages that can run at over 150Mbps.

Coverage: While TalkTalk claim their super router offers the best coverage of all the providers in the UK, it still doesn’t yet offer a full covered nationwide broadband service.

TV Packages: If you opt for a TalkTalk bundle with a TV service included you will find that it simply isn’t as complete as some of TV services offered by the other major providers.

Compare TalkTalk Packages

Being one of the major providers, TalkTalk obviously offer a wide range of deals, so the best way to separate them and see which one is right for you is to use a comparison website. They let you search through what’s available based on what you need and should help you come to a decision about which TalkTalk deal to go with. A good tip with comparison sites is to check more than one as they sometimes don’t always have all the offers currently available so you could be missing out.
